ACLU leads Coalition Request to Governor to Halt Mergers in WA for Six Months

Today, the American Civil Liberties Union and ten advocacy groups called on Governor Jay Inslee to impose a six-month moratorium on hospital mergers in the state in order to assess the growing impact of religious interference on patient rights and access.

As one of the signatories to the letter, I’m confident that after a thorough review, Washington policy makers will come to the conclusion that religious doctrine has no place in our publicly financed health care system.
